GST Awarded TSA’S – PELSS2 Contract with a Ceiling of $100 Million.

(YARDLEY, PA July 30, 2015) – The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has awarded Global Systems Technologies (GST) of Yardley, Pa a five-year Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) with a ceiling of $100 million. Under this Professional Engineering and Logistics Support Services (PELSS-2) contract, GST’s Arlington, VA office will support six divisions of TSA’ s Office of Security Capabilities (OSC) with seven initial BPA Orders.
GST President, Achintya Bhattacharjee says, “We at GST are pleased and honored to receive TSA’s PELSS -2 award which reaffirms TSA’s continued confidence in GST. PELSS 2 brings an exciting opportunity for us. It expands GST’s role to include engineering support for acquisition management, technology evolution, systems architecture, and deployment of new security technologies. It also allows GST to continue its logistics and configuration management support to OSC.

GST has been supporting the FAA / DHS in advancement of aviation security since 1992. The areas we supported include, R&D, Test & Evaluation of Explosive Detection Systems (EDS) and Explosive Trace Detection (ETD) systems, production of high fidelity explosive simulants and testing standards, certification testing of ETD equipment, and development-stage testing for next-generation passenger screening portals. GST remains committed to supporting TSA in strengthening security for the traveling public.” GST’s other efforts include information technology support contracts with the Transportation Security Laboratory (TSL), the US Army, and Air Force. GST headquarters are in Yardley, PA with offices in Absecon, NJ and Crystal City, VA.
